2012 - Danish Diabetes Academy

The Novo Nordisk Foundation awards a grant of DKK 210 million (€26.9 million) to establish the Danish Diabetes Academy at Odense University Hospital. The Academy aims to raise the quality of diabetes research in Denmark and to provide an overall view of diabetes research in Denmark. The Academy, which opens this year, has been established in collaboration with Denmark’s large universities and university hospitals and JDRF, a leading global organization based in New York City focusing on research on type 1 diabetes.
