ART RESEARCH

A significant contribution to art history and art research in Denmark

The Novo Nordisk Foundation supports art research in order to give the most talented researchers the opportunity to conduct larger research projects. It can both aid their research career within the field and contribute significantly to art history and art research in Denmark.

Art history needs to interact with other scientific areas, and in later years, art research and the humanities have been especially challenged by as well technological as bio- and natural scientific experiences. The Foundation therefore also supports research that investigates the cross disciplinary field between art history &  bio- and natural sciences, including technology associated with these disciplines.
