Committee on Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine
Committee on Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine implements the Foundation Board’s granting decisions for the support of basic biomedicine and natural sciences with subject matters that address biomedical issues in the Denmark.
The Board has decided to grant DKK 216 million (€29 million) annually via the applications evaluated by the Committee on Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine. The grant budget is allocated to project grants (DKK 80 million), 12 Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Research Leader Programme Grants (DKK 120 million), and four Postdoc Fellowships for Research Abroad (DKK 16 million). The Committee on Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine was established in 2017, and consists of a chair and ten ordinary members from Denmark. The Board of the Foundation appoints the Chair and the other members in accordance with the general rules covering the Foundation’s committees.
