Committee on Clinical and Translational Medicine
The Committee on Clinical and Translational Medicine implements the Board of the Foundation’s granting decisions for the support of fellowships and project grants in the fields of clinical, translational and general practice medicine research in Denmark.
The Board has decided to grant DKK 136.95 million (€18.4 million) annually, via the applications evaluated by the Committee on Clinical and Translationel Medicine. The grant budget is allocated to project grants (DKK 50 million), four Borregaard Clinical Research Fellowships (DKK 20 million), two postdoc fellowships for research in general practice medicine (DKK 3.2 million), 25 research-year scholarships (DKK 3.75 million), and four Tandem programmes in translational research (DKK 60 million), per year. In addition, the Committee evaluates applications on behalf of the Fabrikant Vilhelm Pedersen and Hustrus Legat (DKK 7 million).
The Committee on Clinical and Translational Medicine was established in 2017, but originates in the Committee on Medical and Natural Sciences Research that was established in 1959, as well as from the Committee on General Practice and Family Medicine Research that was established in 2002. The Board of the Foundation appoints the Chair as well as the other members in accordance with the general rules for the Foundation’s committees.
