Funding
A total of up to DKK 90 million is available for grants.
Grants between DKK 10 to 15 million can be awarded for research projects lasting a 4-year period.
A total of up to DKK 2 million will be awarded to one of the funded research projects to organise the Nordic metabolic ageing research network activities.
Applicants may apply for funding for the following types of expenses directly related to the project:
Budget for research project (from DKK 10 – 15 million):
- Salary for postdocs, PhD students, research assistants, staff scientists, consultants, technicians, etc. involved in the project.
- Tuition fee for PhD students.
- Travel expenses in relation to the project.
- Open access publication of results originating from the project, as well as open access data sharing and data management.
- Equipment required for the project (not exceeding 20% of the total budget).
- Operating expenses: Consumables and direct expenses for developing, implementing and operating the project.
- For Danish universities, the agreement on Project Supplement applies.
- Bench fee (not applicable to Danish universities).
- Administrative expenses up to 5% of the funding applied for (not applicable to Danish universities)
Budget for networking activities (up to DKK 2 million)
- Networking activities such as (but not limited to) joint workshops, symposia, study trips and dissemination activities such as joint publications
