Denmark is facing major changes driven by global competition and technological development. This calls for new conversations. Join us at this year’s People’s Meeting as we bring together researchers, policymakers and business leaders to discuss a central question: What will Denmark build its future prosperity on, and what choices must we make to turn new knowledge into growth and societal progress? Gain insights into the latest research in AI and quantum technology, experience biosolutions and explore examples of innovative healthcare solutions that will help shape Denmark of Tomorrow (Damark i Morgen, red).
This year, we are giving the tents at Allinge Harbour a new look, as we launch Danmark i Morgen Scenen (G12) and Torvet (G20). Here, we will discuss Denmark’s positions of strength and address some of the most important questions about its future: How do we develop and apply critical technologies such as AI and quantum technology? What does it take to transform research into world-class companies? And how do we ensure the right skills, investments and framework conditions?
With Danmark i Morgen, we are building on the experience and results from our several years with focus on biosolutions as we broaden the conversation. In collaboration with the Confederation of Danish Industry, Danish Chamber of Commerce and Universities Denmark, we are hosting more than 60 events over three days. Here are just two of the debates that will shape the agenda:
A changing world: Denmark’s and Europe’s place in a new race
We open Scenen with an analysis of the world around us. Nana Bule, Chair of the Danish Centre for AI Innovation, Ulrik Vestergaard, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Netcompany and David Dreyer Lassen, Rector of the University of Copenhagen, will paint the bigger picture: Which macro trends are shaping global development? And where does Europe stand in relation to the United States, China and other growth economies? We will turn our attention to Denmark and the Nordic region and set the scene for conversations about how we navigate the future wisely. The debate will be moderated by Ditte Brasso, Deputy Director of Think Tank Europa.
A small country cannot do everything – so where should we focus our efforts?
Increasing global competition and rapid technological development are challenging us and forcing us to make difficult but important choices that will define our shared future. We cannot do everything, so where should we focus our efforts? This question will be discussed by Brian Mikkelsen, CEO of the Danish Chamber of Commerce, Laura Klitgaard, President of IDA, Christina Egelund (M), Minister for Science, Higher Education and Digital Affairs, Mads Krogsgaard Thomsen, CEO of the Novo Nordisk Foundation, and Brian Bech Nielsen, Chair of the Danish Rectors’ Conference, when they enter Scenen. The panel will also be joined by a very special guest: TI-1H, the Danish Technological Institute’s first humanoid robot.

Friday at Grønbechs
On Friday 12 June, the Novo Nordisk Foundation will once again be present at Grønbechs Hotel. Future solutions start with the right conversations, and throughout the day we will explore topics ranging from the green transition and geopolitics to health and AMR across six debates:
