In 2018, the Novo Nordisk Foundation granted DKK 2 million to develop and implement Art Hub Copenhagen’s Center for Art and Research, where artists work with the question of which challenges and opportunities come with innovation in science and technology.

Art Hub Copenhagen (AHC) is an international meeting point for professional artists where they can develop various aspects of their practices in a professionally stimulating and facilitating environment.

Activities involve several different formats, from workshops, talks and seminars to exchanges and artist-in-residence programmer. The activities take place around the world at collaboration partners and in Copenhagen.

Collaboration is an essential part of AHC’s work and vision, and programs are continuously developed in dialogue with other institutions and disciplines.

AHC was created on the basis of a number of studies about artists’ conditions and visions, including the report Kunstens Rammer (Bikuben Foundation, 2017). AHC was founded as an association in 2018 with support from the Bikuben Foundation, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, the Nordea Foundation, and the Municipality of Copenhagen.
