The purpose of the PREPARE Programme is to support university teachers within the natural, health and technical sciences in developing and implementing new educational ideas and in this way contribute to excellent science teaching. Grants are offered to projects that seek to improve and enhance ways of training students’ creative and critical skills through research-based activities, with the ultimate goal of producing graduates that are better prepared to provide solutions to complex problems within life science and sustainability.
Areas of support
The grants support the following categories of educational development at universities:
- Digital development of educations
- Research infrastructure development for educations
- Upgrading content of educations
Funding under the PREPARE Programme is offered in three annual rounds from 2025 to 2027: DKK 30 million in 2025 and DKK 45 million in 2026 as well as 2027. Universities offering educations in natural, health and technical sciences in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Island will be invited to apply for funding of a number of educational projects.
The PREPARE Programme complements the activities of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for University Science Education (USE), as both initiatives pursue the same overall goal of providing research-based natural science education of the highest standard.
