Beyond Storage: Pathways for CO2 Utilisation
This lecture sets the scene for why CO₂ utilization matters within CCUS, arguing that the conversation must extend beyond storage to technologies that convert captured CO₂ into valuable products. It then surveys key routes to CO₂ conversion—from enzyme-enabled acceleration of capture and conversion to transformation into chemicals, monomers and polymer feedstocks—highlighting how these emerging pathways connect to industrial value chains and sustainable materials.
