Lecture: Science Communication for Greater Research Impact

6. marts 2025

Join us for a session in the company of three exciting scientific communicators sharing their thoughts and experiences on communicating science to peers and public.

We live in a world, where great science cannot always to speak for itself. It is critical that scientific advancements are made readily available and easy to understand as science well communicated is key to greater research impact, from research-informed policy making, societal debates to overall wider recognition of advancements made. This lecture will focus on communication of science to inspire what and how researchers and scientist can push the envelope on the reach of their research. Join us for a lecture session that touches upon science, art, visual communications and the way forward for greater research impact.

🏛️ Adam Bencard- Associate Professor, Medical Humanities at the Medical Museion and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research

Has curated several exhibitions at the intersection of science, art, and history, including Mind the Gut (2017) and The World is in You (2021) at Kunsthal Charlottenborg. In his research, he works with metabolism and microbiome research in historical and philosophical perspectives and investigates what it means to be human in the post-genomic era. Blending science, contemporary art and historical objects Adam is at the forefront of rethinking practices in science communication, museum practice and philosophy.
