Sudden cardiac arrest remains a major global health issue, causing approximately 4-5 million deaths annually worldwide. In response to this challenge, Fredrik Folke, Herlev og Gentofte Hospital and Head of Research at Region Hovedstadens Akutberedskab – Emergency Medical Services has been awarded a Clinical Distinguished Investigator grant. Fredrik’s research will focus on testing and implementing new and innovative strategies to improve survival after sudden cardiac arrest.
This grant is part of the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Research Leader Programme, which aims to enable outstanding research while supporting the development of research leaders.
