Nine research projects are receiving a grant in 2018 through the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Steno Collaborative Grants research programme.

Steno Collaborative Grants aim to strengthen the collaboration between research communities at Steno Diabetes Centers and external research communities. The Foundation has therefore strongly emphasized the extent of collaboration between the Centers and the external research communities as a criterion for selecting the grant recipients.

”The purpose of Steno Collaborative Grants is to create powerful synergy between Steno Diabetes Centers and other research institutions in Denmark. Close collaboration is important because we want to contribute to making new knowledge more accessible and exchange experiences across research institutions,” says Niels-Henrik von Holstein-Rathlou, Head of Research and Innovation Grants, Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Steno Collaborative Grants was established in 2017, and this is the second time grants have been awarded.

The Foundation awarded DKK 50 million to the nine projects based on 59 applications received totalling DKK 390 million.
