Testcenters Danmark has contributed to more people being tested for Covid-19. The foundation’s grants has made a significant contribution to providing the necessary test machines, reagents and equipment to perform up to 3 million tests.
In the film, Kåre Mølbak, academic director at SSI, gives an insight into the plans for the center, and Mads Krogsgaard Thomsen, group research director at Novo Nordisk A / S (now CEO of the Novo Nordisk Foundation), talks about the development of a completely new antibody test that will soon is ready for large-scale use at the center.
Testcenters Danmark is anchored at the Statens Serum Institut and has been established in close collaboration between the state, regions, the national emergency services and hospitals, including Rigshospitalet, as well as the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk A / S. Through the unique collaboration between public and private actors, the new national test center has been established in less than one month.
