Art Research Scholarships and Project Grants 2016 Awarded

The Novo Nordisk Foundation has awarded this year’s Mads Øvlisen art scholarships and project grants for research in art history.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation has awarded this year’s Mads Øvlisen art scholarships: Two PhD scholarships of DKK 1.6 million over 3 years and three postdoctoral fellowships of DKK 1.2 million over 2 years.

The grants are awarded based on applications in open competition and assessment by the Selection Committee on Art History Research – Mads Øvlisen Scholarships. Of 56 applications received, 5 grants were awarded with a success rate of 9%.

The five researchers will receive their scholarship at a reception at the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Tuborg Havnevej 19, Hellerup, on April 28 2016 from 15:00-18:00. Participants can meet the researchers, who will briefly introduce their research. See the names of the five scholarship recipients below.

In addition to the five scholarships, the Novo Nordisk Foundation also awarded a total of DKK 2 million in project grants for research in art history. The grants were likewise awarded based on applications in open competition and assessment by the Committee on Art History Research.
