Lars Munch Joins the Board of Directors of the Novo Nordisk Foundation

The Board of Directors of the Novo Nordisk Foundation elected Lars Munch as a member of the Board at a meeting today.

Lars Munch, who is Chairman of the Board of JP/Politikens Hus A/S, has been active in societal and social issues, the media, art and culture throughout his career. He has had several director posts. From 1999 to 2014, he was CEO of A/S Dagbladet Politiken and then JP/Politikens Hus A/S. Before that he was a director in the Bonnier Group.

In addition to chairing JP/Politikens Hus, Lars Munch chairs the boards of Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, BRFfonden and SOS Children’s Villages Denmark. He is also a member of the Board of Nordic private equity firm Axcel.

In March 2017, the Novo Nordisk Foundation began looking for a new member of the Board of Directors with a background in civil society after Karsten Dybvad, CEO of the Confederation of Danish Industry, departed the Board.
