On Sunday through Thursday, the conference “European Science Open Forum” (ESOF) is held in Copenhagen. It is the largest multidisciplinary conference dedicated to scientific research and science policy in Europe and its goal is to build bridges between science and the surrounding society.
The Novo Nordisk Foundation has a booth at the conference. Here guests can hear about the work of the Foundation and meet the Foundation’s employees.
Furthermore, the Foundation has arranged a presentation at the conference hall of the exhibition where scientists from the Danish Diabetes Academy and Experimentarium will give talks. Both organizations are supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The session takes place on Wednesday June 25 from 2.15 to 3 pm.
An integrated element of ESOF 2014 is a parallel festival of knowledge called “Science in the City”. 30,000 people are expected to participate in the festival. The purpose is to increase the public interest in science. In connection with the festival, the Novo Nordisk Foundation is supporting “Into the body – a journey with leading scientists”, an event arranged by the University of Copenhagen.
