Nominate a Teacher for the Novo Nordisk Foundation Science Teacher Prize

Do you know a teacher who has made an outstanding contribution in teaching nature and technology; geography; biology; physics and chemistry; or mathematics at a primary and lower-secondary school in Denmark?

Now you can nominate a teacher to receive the Novo Nordisk Foundation Science Teacher Prize.

The purpose of the prize is to recognize and publicize extraordinary efforts in science teaching at primary and lower-secondary schools in Denmark.

The Prize is accompanied by DKK 250,000, divided into a personal award of DKK 50,000 and DKK 200,000 for the teacher’s school, for developing the teaching of science.

Two Prizes are awarded annually: one for eastern Denmark and one for western Denmark.

Students, parents, colleagues and principals may all nominate one or several candidates for the Prize. The candidate’s principal must make the nomination by submitting a nomination form on the Foundation’s website.

A committee established under the auspices of Astra (Centre for Learning in Science, Technology and Health in Denmark) and the Novo Nordisk Foundation will select the Prize winners.

The deadline for submitting applications is 16:00 (CET) on 10 February 2016.

The Prize will be awarded in connection with the final round of the Young Scientists competition on 26 April 2016.
