Endemic infectious diseases are a persistent threat, while the risk of future pandemics is ever-present and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is on the rise.
Together with key stakeholders globally, we support exploratory research and early development leading to new diagnostic tools, preventive measures such as vaccines, and treatments such as antimicrobial medicines to help the world tackle current threats and prepare for the future.
Our goals are to:
- Generate scientific knowledge that can catalyse the development of innovative tools and solutions for infectious diseases and AMR
- Establish a vibrant, mission-driven infectious diseases research environment in Denmark with strong international connections
- Support the development of effective, scalable, and affordable medical interventions that have global impact
Our focus is on:
- Respiratory pathogens, antimicrobial resistance, and human immunity
