Apply for grants

Meetings on How to Optimize Your Application

Last year, a total of 350 researchers and other research staff attended the meetings held by the Novo Nordisk Foundation's Committee on Medical and Natural Sciences Research.

Which grants are available? Which information should be included in your application? And what is emphasized in the assessment of your application?

From 1-8 September, members of the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Committee on Medical and Natural Sciences Research visit universities and hospitals in Aalborg, Aarhus, Odense and Copenhagen to answer questions on how to apply for funding from the Committee.

The Committee awards scholarships, fellowships and project grants within the fields of clinical and basic biomedical research in Denmark and is the oldest of the Foundation’s 10 scientific committees.

At the meetings, the Chair of the Committee, Lars Fugger will provide information on the Foundation’s grants scheme with a special focus on the grants awarded through the Committee on Medical and Natural Sciences Research. Lars Fugger will also provide information on the application process; which information should be included in an application to the Committee: and what the Committee emphasizes in the assessment of an application

– It is a high priority for the Novo Nordisk Foundation to inform applicants throughout Denmark about the opportunities for applying for funding from the Foundation. At these meetings, we want to provide scientists with the best possible background on how to apply for funding, and the Committee looks forward to meeting the many talented researchers at universities and hospitals in their own environments, says Lars Fugger, who is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

During the meetings, which are open to all those interested, it will be possible to ask the committee members questions. No registration is necessary. There will be light refreshments at the meetings.
