In 2015-2017, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, supported the Program for Clinical Research Infrastructure (PROCRIN), a national collaboration to strengthen clinical research in Denmark.
The goal was to improve medical database research by developing effective national structures and procedures. By standardising and optimising the health data that can be analysed, clinical researchers become better able to identify disease factors and treatment effects that will ultimately benefit the quality of patient treatment and safety.
The Novo Nordisk Foundation granted DKK 24.3 million to the two-year project. The Lundbeck Foundation granted an equivalent amount.
