Committee on Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine

Committee on Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine implements the Foundation Board’s granting decisions for the support of fundamental bioscientific or biomedical research projects in Denmark relevant for understanding the human organism and/or the basal mechanisms underlying health and disease.
The Board has decided to grant DKK 192 million annually via the applications evaluated by the Committee on Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine. In the spring funds are granted to Postdoctoral Fellowships for research abroad (up to DKK 4 M per grant) and Emerging, Ascending and Distinguished Investigator grants (up to DKK 10 M per grant). In the Fall Project grants are awarded (up to DKK 3 M per grant).
The Committee on Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine was established in 2017, and consists of a chair and 12 members.

The Board of the Foundation appoints the Chair and the other members in accordance with the general rules covering the Foundation’s committees.
