The Committee on Clinical and Translational Medicine implements the Board of the Foundation’s granting decisions for the support of fellowships and project grants in the fields of clinical, translational research in Denmark.
The Board has decided to grant DKK 330 million annually, via the applications evaluated by the Committee on Clinical and Translational Medicine. The grant budget is allocated to project grants (DKK 50 million), Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials (DKK 80 million), Clinical Accelerator Programme CAP (DKK 60 million), 10 Clinical Investigator grants (DKK 100 million), and Tandem programmes in translational research (DKK 40 million), per year.
The Committee on Clinical and Translational Medicine was established in 2017, but originates in the Committee on Medical and Natural Sciences Research that was established in 1959. The Board of the Foundation appoints the Chair as well as the other members in accordance with the general rules for the Foundation’s committees.
