Grants in Open Competition
The Novo Nordisk Foundation awards grants in open competition across a wide range of areas within science, education & outreach, sustainability, innovation as well as social & humanitarian initiatives. We announce our calls for applications on our website, and each call has a specific theme and/or serves a particular purpose. ‘Open competition’ means that applicants can apply for a grant in response to such calls and ‘compete’ against other applicants to obtain funding.
After a deadline, all the submitted applications are evaluated by independent experts. Following this, applicants are either offered funding or their application is rejected.
