The Novo Nordisk Foundation hosts the international Research on Research Institute (RoRI) consortium at Favrholm October 12, 2021

12. oktober 2021

The Impact Department at the Novo Nordisk Foundation is a part of an international consortium doing research on grant giving. The privacy policy of the Novo Nordisk Foundation has been adjusted, enabling the Foundation to participate in international research projects for more effective research systems together with other international funders and share best practices.

On 12 October, the international consortium Research on Research Institute (RoRI) will convene. RoRI was established in 2019 to collaborate on concrete research projects and data sharing to advance research on how research systems can be made more effective, open and inclusive. The vision and aims of RoRI are to share policies, practice, experiences and challenges, present research evidence that could improve funder policies and practice and collaborate on future meta-research or research-on-research (RoR) studies.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Impact Department is a strategic partner in the initiative that was started by the English Wellcome Trust and join other funders like Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR), National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and VolkswagenStiftung.

The initiative, which for the time being will run until the end of 2022, will help the participating foundations with development of Impact tools, monitoring and analysis methods, ways of grant-giving and evaluation approaches.

In connection with the project, NNF has updated its privacy policy in section 2.2 – which is available here: General-privacy-notice-2021.pdf (novonordiskfonden.dk)
