Purpose
In NORMA you find the call under the title Postdoctoral Fellowships for MIT, Stanford Bio-X, University of Oxford MPLS and Weizmann Institute of Science – 2024
The Novo Nordisk Foundation invites promising young, ambitious researchers to apply for a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford Bio-X in interdisciplinary research at the highest international level.
The fellowship offers an opportunity for promising young, enthusiastic researchers to carry out a research project in which about three years are dedicated to work at Stanford Bio-X, followed by about one year at a Danish university or other public or non-profit research institution.
Stanford University is one of the world’s leading universities, with a strong tradition in education and research. Stanford Bio-X is the pioneering interdisciplinary institute established with the mission to catalyze novel research across disciplines, to generate ground-breaking interdisciplinary knowledge, and to create the solutions of tomorrow within biomedicine and biotechnology, for the benefit of human health. NNF wishes to fuel the career development of excellent early-stage researchers:
- By giving the awardee the opportunity to obtain research experience, training, and knowledge in a unique interdisciplinary environment at the highest international level, while also openly exchanging intellect and ideas with Stanford peers.
- Through mobility, extending the awardee’s scientific networks and innovative spirit, and foster scientific independence.
- By associating the awardee to a Danish research institution throughout the project, thereby facilitating the return of the awardee from Stanford, and her/his continued research career in the Danish research environment.
Fellowships within this programme are also offered with MIT, University of Oxford and Weizmann Institute of Science as the hosting institution.
